Privacy Policy

Last updated October 29, 2026

MakeMeDemo is an independent software product. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. MakeMeDemo is local-first: your screen recordings, demo projects, exports and AI provider keys are stored on your device. Cloud AI requests and publishing can send content to services you choose, as explained below.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address and name, when you sign up or sign in (including via Google).
  • License & entitlements: which feature packs you own, your trial status, and the identifier of the device that activated your license.
  • Purchases: order and billing records are handled by our payment provider, Creem. We receive confirmation of what you bought — we never see or store your card details.
  • Basic diagnostics: minimal, non-identifying logs needed to keep the service running.
  • Feedback you choose to send: the message you write on our feedback page, any screenshots you attach, your email address if you give one, and the app version, operating system and site language it was sent from.

We do not collect your recordings, the contents of your demos, or your AI keys through our account or licensing service. Screenshots you attach to feedback are sent to us voluntarily — please leave out anything you would rather not share.

AI services and publishing

  • Recording, local project storage and video rendering happen on your computer. This does not mean every AI model runs locally.
  • When you choose a cloud AI or voice provider, the app sends the content needed for that request, such as text, screenshots or narration text, to that provider. Your configured API key is used to authenticate with the provider; it is not sent to our licensing service.
  • An installed CLI such as Claude Code or Codex may also contact its cloud service under your existing authorization. Installing a CLI locally does not make its model local.
  • When you publish a demo, its screenshots, video, text and audio are uploaded to the storage you configure. Anyone with access to the published address may be able to view them. Review sensitive content before publishing.
  • Your chosen AI and storage providers apply their own privacy, retention and billing terms. Check those terms before sending content. You can record and edit without invoking cloud AI or publishing.

How we use it

  • To provide the service: create your account, issue and verify your license, and unlock the features you own.
  • To support you: respond to your questions and troubleshoot issues.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations through our Merchant of Record.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary data with a small number of processors:

  • Creem — Merchant of Record; processes payments, invoicing, and sales-tax/VAT compliance.
  • Supabase — authentication and the database that stores your account and entitlements.
  • Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for makemedemo.com.
  • Resend — transactional email (e.g. sign-in confirmations).
  • Notion — stores the feedback you send us (text, screenshots and optional email) so we can read and track it.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Retention

We keep your account and license data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data except records we are legally required to keep (for example, purchase records for tax purposes).

Feedback is kept until we have dealt with it and no longer need it. To have something you sent removed, email us with roughly when you sent it.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies

The website uses only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

MakeMeDemo is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
